I teach design and technology courses in the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft.
ID4170 - Advanced Concept Design
The Advanced Concept Design (ACD) master's course focuses on the conceptualisation phase of product development and starts from a design challenge and ends with a concept of a product or a product-service system. As part of this course I act as a Technology Expert and give lectures in Experimental Design and Evaluation.
ID5417 - Artificial Intelligence and Society
This course integrates design and research to help students understand how design can play an active role in shaping the future of AI in society. The course is offered as part of the 2nd year of all three Masters of the IDE Faculty. Students are asked to conduct independent research as part of a group-based research-through-design exercise. As part of this course I deliver lectures in the Ethics of Datasets and Models.
IOB6-E8 - Design Analytics
In this technological and methodological elective, students gather tools and acquire knowledge to critically evaluate (interactive and intelligent) technological prototypes and set the stage for the next iteration of the design phase by eliciting actionable design guidelines based on comprehensive empirical analysis. The technological component of this course is demonstrated by the strong focus on the improvement of IPSS (intelligent products, services, and systems) such as, conversational assistants, wearables, etc.
